This is a narrated, self-running CD that explains the subjects of feather topography and molt in an interactive, entertaining way. There are some interactive quiz slides scattered throughout. The first part of the CD goes over the names of commonly referred-to feathers such as coverts and tertials and explains just where these feathers are located on a birds’ body. The last sections of the presentation explain the latest theories on molt strategies in birds. The CD presents the meanings of molt-related terms such as basic, formative and alternate in a detailed, yet easy-to understand manner. Individual sections of the CD can be accessed with links, so it is easy to watch just a small portion of the CD in one sitting.
